Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Bounty?

A Bounty is your public posting for a specific vehicle you're hunting. You choose the make, model, year range, and up to 3 must-have specs. It lives on the Bounty Board for 6 months where sellers can see it.

What is a Showdown?

A Showdown begins when a seller (called an Outlaw) responds to your Bounty with a matching vehicle. It's a public negotiation between you and the Outlaw. Both parties have 3 days to negotiate and agree on terms.

What is an Outlaw?

An Outlaw is a seller who has the car you're hunting. When they see your Bounty on the board and believe their vehicle matches your specs, they can initiate a Showdown.

How much does it cost to post a Bounty?

$50 for 6 months on the board. This is a one-time, non-refundable fee. It signals to sellers that you're a serious buyer with real money behind your spec.

Is a match guaranteed?

No. Your Bounty is visible to all sellers for 6 months, but finding a match depends on the rarity of your spec. The more specific your must-haves, the longer it may take — but when it hits, it's the right car.

Can I edit my Bounty after posting?

You can edit your specs (up to 3 must-haves) at any time from My Bounties. The make, model, and year range cannot be changed after posting.

What happens when my Bounty expires?

After 6 months, your Bounty is removed from the board. You'll receive an email before it expires with the option to repost.

Is Bounty Hunters available outside the United States?

Not yet. We're currently US-only. If you'd like us in your country, let us know.
